Assistant Solar Sales Manager – South Africa

We are a forward-thinking solar energy company, dedicated to promoting sustainable solutions. As part of our team expansion in South Africa, we are seeking an enthusiastic Assistant Solar Sales Manager to join our ranks. This role is based in Johannesburg.

Area of responsibility:

  • Assist Business Development Sales Managers in generating leads and qualifying prospective customers through various channels, including phone calls, emails, and online inquiries.
  • Coordinate with potential customers to schedule appointments, site visits, and consultations with sales representatives.
  • Prepare and distribute sales materials, presentations, and product information to prospective clients as needed.
  • Respond to customer inquiries promptly and professionally, providing accurate information about our products, services, and pricing.
  • Maintain customer relationship management (CRM) database with up-to-date information on leads, contacts, and sales activities.
  • Follow up with leads and prospective customers to answer questions, address concerns, and provide additional information to facilitate the sales process.
  • Assist in preparing sales proposals, quotes, and contracts for clients, ensuring accuracy and adherence to company policies.
  • Collaborate with internal departments, including finance, operations, and installation teams, to coordinate sales orders and ensure smooth project implementation.


To excel in this role, you should possess the following qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent;
  • Previous experience in sales support, customer service, or administrative role is a plus.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to interact professionally with customers and colleagues.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize responsibilities effectively.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and CRM software
  • Basic understanding of solar energy concepts and technologies is desirable but not required.
  • Enthusiastic, self-motivated, and eager to learn about renewable energy and sustainability initiatives.
