Cold Calling Telesales Agent / Specialist – South Africa

Role Overview

The Cold Calling Telesales Agent/Specialist will be responsible for reaching out to potential
customers through cold calls, introducing them to our products/services, and converting leads
into sales opportunities. This role requires a results-driven individual with excellent
communication skills, a proactive mindset, and the ability to build rapport quickly over the
phone. You will be expected to meet daily, weekly, and monthly sales targets while providing
exceptional customer service to prospects.

Key Responsibilities

Outbound Sales Calls:

  • Make outbound cold calls to potential customers in order to generate new
    business and qualify leads.
  • Introduce and promote Neosun Energy, highlighting its Guarantees, benefits, and
    value proposition.
  • Identify and engage decision-makers, overcoming objections to generate interest
    and set appointments or sales opportunities.

Lead Generation & Qualification:

  • Use sales scripts, call guides, and your product knowledge to assess prospects'
    needs and identify opportunities for further engagement.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed records of calls, including customer information,
    call outcomes, and next steps.
  • Qualify leads by asking targeted questions to ensure they are a good fit for the
    product/service offering.

Building Relationships & Rapport:

  • Build rapport with prospects quickly and effectively, establishing trust and
    positioning Neosun Energy as a reliable and knowledgeable solution provider.
  • Handle incoming queries from leads, addressing questions, concerns, and
    objections to move prospects through the sales funnel.

Meeting Targets:

  • Achieve or exceed daily, weekly, and monthly call and sales targets, including
    setting appointments, qualifying leads, and closing sales.
  • Monitor individual performance against targets and report on progress to the
    sales team or manager.

CRM Management:

  • Maintain and update the company’s CRM system with accurate customer details,
    call outcomes, and follow-up actions.
  • Track interactions with leads and follow up effectively to nurture leads into
    qualified opportunities.

Continuous Improvement:

  • Stay updated on product knowledge, industry trends, and competitive landscape
    to better pitch the offering to prospects.
  • Continuously refine cold calling techniques and sales approach based on
    feedback and performance data.

Collaboration with Sales Team:

  • Work closely with the broader sales team to ensure smooth handoffs of qualified
    leads and follow through on opportunities.
  • Share insights and feedback on common objections, lead trends, and customer
    pain points to help improve marketing strategies and sales processes.

Key Requirements

  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to engage and
    influence prospects over the phone.
  • Ability to handle rejection and stay motivated to achieve sales targets.
  • Goal-oriented with a passion for sales and a strong desire to succeed.
  • Previous experience with CRM systems.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively.
  • Ability to adapt and adjust sales pitch based on the needs of the prospect.
  • Self-motivated, resilient, and proactive in nature.

Desirable Attributes

  • Experience in a high-volume telesales environment. Achieving 50-100 Cold Calls per
    day.
  • Familiarity with objection-handling techniques and strategies for closing sales.
  • Team player with a collaborative attitude, as well as the ability to work independently
    and stay self-driven.
  • Previous experience working with sales targets and quotas.
  • Ability to work under pressure in a High Performance Sales environment
