Global Sales Director HQ  (Solar Energy) at NEOSUN Energy

As a growing high-tech startup, we’re expanding our business, building a global brand and establishing our own points of presence worldwide in the form of branches and subsidiaries. To help us achieve this goal, we are seeking a Global Sales Director to build a matrix structure for the global sales team and attain our sales targets. As a Global Sales Director, you will be responsible for the overall achievement of planned revenue and profitability indicators in accordance with the global business plan.

NEOSUN Energy is an international Solar EPC company that provides Commercial Solar PV & Energy Storage Solutions (ESS) with capacity from 200kW to 10MW for Commercial and Industrial projects worldwide. 

Area of responsibility:

  • Full responsibility for commercial sales and business development in the global market;
  • Ensuring the fulfillment of company sales and revenue plans;
  • Sales development, including the opening of new divisions and sales departments in new regions, building a matrix structure for the Sales Global Team;
  • Managing Sales managers in branches and monitoring their implementation of sales plans;
  • Undertake market research for strategy refinement and business planning;
  • Search and exploration of sales opportunities, and the completion of the sales-related performance indicators through the operation of the market and customer relationship;
  • Prepare annual plans, monthly sales and P/L sales reports;
  • Effectively implement and execute commercial market strategy;
  • Pursue a proactive market approach for new client acquisition;
  • Coordinate internal and external support for sales, business development and marketing;
  • Be an advocate for the brand and company, be fully immersed with the product portfolio;
  • Participate in industry exhibitions, tradeshows, conference and relevant meeting as leading company representative;
  • Build relevant practices according to business needs, assist the business team to better pull internal resources and assist the achievement of annual core business objectives.


  • Minimum 10 years of sales experience and good experience in solar energy field;
  • Leadership and people management experience: 3-5 years of experience managing global sales teams;
  • Experience in building global sales teams from scratch and creating a matrix structure;
  • Project management experience to cover whole sales cycle;
  • Deep and extensive knowledge of the Solar energy market and technical product capabilities;
  • Entrepreneurial mindset and ability to thrive in an international environment;
  • Professional networking and stakeholder’s partnerships in the renewable energy business environment;
  • Experience in large and medium-sized commercial organizations, knowledge of modern methodologies and practices;
  • Ability to maintain the highest level of sales negotiation, ethics and integrity;
  • Detail oriented and good problem solver;
  • Fluent or native English is required (C1+);
  • University degree in Electrical Engineering, Power Electronics or related discipline is an advantage;
  • Willingness for frequent business trips to the client’s location and HQ;
