Mission image

Maximize PV Generation

Customer pain point: solar power generation often peaks during the day, while the facility’s main consumption may occur in the morning, evening, or peak demand hours. As a result, part of the solar energy may be wasted or exported to the grid on unfavorable terms.

ESS stores surplus solar energy in batteries and uses it when the facility actually needs it. This increases self-consumption, reduces electricity purchases from the grid, and maximizes the economic benefit of the solar PV system.

Backup Power (UPS)

Customer pain point: grid outages can stop production, IT infrastructure, security systems, lighting, or other critical equipment.

ESS works as an industrial backup power system. When the grid fails or becomes unstable, the system automatically switches to backup mode and continues supplying critical loads from the batteries.

Load Shifting

Customer pain point: electricity prices may vary during the day, while the facility’s consumption often occurs during expensive tariff periods.

ESS charges during low-tariff periods or from surplus solar energy, then discharges during high-tariff hours. This reduces electricity costs without changing the facility’s operating schedule.

Peak Shaving

Customer pain point: short-term demand peaks can lead to high demand charges, transformer overload, or the need for expensive grid capacity upgrades.

ESS quickly discharges during peak consumption periods and reduces the maximum load drawn from the grid. This helps lower demand charges, relieve existing infrastructure, and avoid additional investment in transformers or grid connection upgrades.

Autonomous Local Microgrid

Customer pain point: remote and industrial facilities may need stable power even when the public grid is weak, unavailable, or too expensive to expand.

ESS creates an autonomous local microgrid by coordinating solar PV, battery storage, grid connection, and diesel generators through the EMS. The system prioritizes the cheapest available energy source, supplies critical loads from batteries when possible, and can operate in island mode during grid outages. This improves power reliability, reduces dependence on the grid, and gives the facility more control over its energy infrastructure.

Diesel Generator Fuel Saving

Customer pain point: for sites using diesel generators, electricity costs are driven by fuel consumption, maintenance, equipment wear, and inefficient generator operation under variable loads.

ESS enables a hybrid power system where solar energy supplies the facility first, surplus energy charges the batteries, and the diesel generator starts only when needed — for example, when battery charge is low or demand is high. This reduces fuel consumption up to 80%, generator runtime, maintenance costs, and equipment wear.

Li-ion batteries

Neosun Li-ion batteries with a high specifcpower density and a lifetime of more than 20 years are the ideal solution for storage systems of any capacity. Сompact and scalable with a modular design for a 19"rack, it makes it easy to increase the system capacity from a few kWh to megawatt scale.

Unlike lead batteries, Li-ion ones do not signifcantly degrade from discharge— they can be discharged up to 90-95%.
Thebuilt-incharge management system (BMS) and the latest 80 production technologies make it possible to achieve Neo- sunbattery lifetime of more than 8,000 cycles with at least 80% of initial capacity.
