Neosun Energy completed a solar installation at Khusta Jack Farm in Port Elizabeth, South Africa.
The on-grid system, finalized in July 2024, features 24 high-efficiency solar panels, providing a total capacity of 24 kWp. This installation will help the farm significantly reduce its dependency on the grid and provide a more reliable source of renewable energy. The project also includes a 15 kWh battery energy storage system, allowing for energy to be stored and used during non-sunlight hours.
Estimated annual generation is expected to greatly improve the farm’s energy autonomy, and with the battery storage, energy efficiency is maximized.
Estimated annual generation: >25 MWh
Equipment used:
- Solar modules: JA Solar 505W
- Technology: 24 units x 505W
- Battery Storage: 15 kWh
